Kota Black cobble setts are limestone based, meaning they are less riven and much smoother than sandstone, while still possessing a natural look. Kota Black cobbles are consistent in colour, though when newly laid the cobbles possess a deep dark black natural hue that lightens to a charcoal grey over time due to exposure to natural sunlight. When wet, the cobbles will return to their dark black original colour. Colour enhancing sealers are also available, allowing the cobbles to retain their original tone for longer periods. These natural looking Italian Porcelain cobbles are perfect for use as edging, and work well on larger areas as a replacement for cobbles or block paving. Their uniform thickness and full bodied, vitrified nature give them a number of advantages over natural stone; including frost resistance, low water absorbency (removing the need to seal the cobbles), and resistance to algae, bacteria, moss, and mildew. Italian Porcelain cobbles require little maintenance and will maintain their colour, regardless of exposure to water and the weathering process.
